The head of the National Security Apparatus, Hamid Al-Shatri, confirmed today, Wednesday, that the citizen is the source of the information, while referring to the pursuit of Iraqi security.
Al-Shatri said in a meeting within the activities of the Al-Rafidain Forum, that "the National Security Agency, in all matters related to internal security, seeks behind the information wherever it is," noting that "there is cooperation with the security services in the region."
He added, "Our first information is from the citizen, and we are winning the citizen's trust," noting that "the National Security Agency participates with all intelligence and security agencies to integrate efforts and achieve security."
Al-Shatri stressed, "The pursuit of Iraqi security, as our efforts are all internal," pointing out that "Iraq lives in a turbulent regional environment and conflicts, and it must have an integrated security system."
He continued, "If we are unable to do so, the country will go through difficult circumstances," explaining, "We are trying to have a security and military system at the strategic level to be a deterrent so that others do not try to influence the Iraqi situation."
He stated that "there are aspiring projects for the integration and reform of the security sector," noting that "there is a problem with overlapping legislation in addition to the political situation, but we aspire to integrate work with the aim of facing challenges."
