The Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, Muhammad al-Halbousi, confirmed today, Thursday, that political strife should not be left outside the parliament paper, indicating that it is necessary for everyone to engage in dialogue without any preconditions.
Al-Halbousi said in a television interview, followed by the "National News Center", that "negotiations over the formation of the new Iraqi government began a few days ago," noting that he proposed "consensus on (Baghdad Document) as an initiative to resolve the political crisis."
Al-Halbousi added that "there are no negative comments on the candidate for the coordination framework for the prime minister, Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani," noting that "no one in Iraq can bypass the Sadrist movement."
He continued, "I suggested consensus on the "Baghdad Document" as an initiative for a political solution," stressing that "our relations are good with the Kurdistan Democratic Party."
