Today, Saturday (July 6, 2024), the head of the Azm Alliance, Muthanna Al-Samarra’i, met with Sheikh Ahmed Hassan Al-Taha at the headquarters of the Jurisprudence Council in Al-A’dhamiyah, upon an official invitation.
His media office said in a statement received by Baghdad Today, "Al-Samarrai responded to the invitation of the Grand Scholar of the Iraqi Jurisprudence Council, Sheikh Dr. Ahmed Hassan Al-Taha, at the headquarters of the Council in the Grand Imam Abu Hanifa Al-Nu'man Mosque, may God have mercy on him, in the presence of Thabet Al-Abbasi, head of the National Decisive Alliance and Minister of Defense."
He added, "During the meeting, the two sides stressed the need for cooperation, communication and coordination with the aim of finding appropriate solutions to end the political deadlock, working in a team spirit and prioritizing the public interest."
Al-Samarrai appreciated "the efforts of the Iraqi Jurisprudence Council and its communication with various political blocs and figures to bring viewpoints closer together, and its moderate discourse that calls for unity in order to achieve the completion of the constitutional entitlement."
