The Director General of Education in Maysan Governorate, Jawad Kazim Sultan, issued a warning to Rafidain Bank due to cases of withdrawing advances without the knowledge of its staff.
The Director of Maysan Education threatened in a letter to the bank, received by "Baghdad Today", to cancel the contract and file a lawsuit against the bank due to cases of withdrawing advances without the knowledge of employees, teachers and instructors through electronic data and information hacking.
Observers believe that the employees may have been victims of fraud by office owners without their knowledge, but this may not exempt the bank from weak procedures and strict standards to protect citizens’ data, as well as tightening procedures before issuing loans except in the presence of the person concerned.
