Today, Saturday, President of the Republic Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid congratulated the new Iranian President, Masoud Pezeshkian, on his victory in the presidential elections.
Rashid said in a post on the "X" platform, "We congratulate the Islamic Republic of Iran on the success of the presidential elections, and we congratulate Masoud Pezeshkian, the president-elect, on his victory in the elections, and we wish him success in his work and in achieving the ambitions and aspirations of the Iranian people."
He added: "We affirm our keenness to strengthen relations between Iraq and Iran in a way that serves the interests of the two neighboring countries and peoples."
