    Information/Baghdad...
Independent MP, Nisan Al-Zayer, attacked the Ministry of Electricity today, Saturday, due to the deterioration of energy supply with the continued rise in temperatures during the summer.
Al-Zayer told Al-Maalouma Agency, "The Ministry of Electricity made a series of rosy promises before the summer. When citizens heard them, they felt that the ministry was capable of providing electrical energy, but once summer came, it was proven that they were just promises with no basis in truth."
She added, "The coming period requires addressing the electricity problem, which is getting worse day after day, despite the billions spent on it."
She pointed out that "there are failed companies in the private sector and corrupt contractors who have been seizing the ministry's contracts for many years and are still controlling them."
The power outage crisis has returned to Iraq with temperatures rising to fifty degrees Celsius, while the majority of citizens depend on private generators. End/25Q
