[rtl]Baghdad - Iraq Today:
The spokesman for the Baghdad Municipality, Muhammad Al-Rubaie, revealed the latest developments in the capital's metro project, while setting the date for referring it for implementation.[/rtl]
[rtl]Al-Rubaie said, in a press interview, that “the Baghdad metro project will be referred for implementation to one of the reputable investment companies during the current year,” pointing out that “the companies applying for the project are Chinese and European, and they are very prestigious.”[/rtl]
[rtl]He added, "The project is still with the government and the National Investment Authority, and is awaiting a number of companies competing to close the bid, because the National Investment Authority is concerned with the issue of investors."[/rtl]
[rtl]A spokesman for the Capital Municipality confirmed: “Until now, the company implementing the project has not been chosen from among the companies that applied for it.”[/rtl]
