    Baghdad Today - Baghdad 
    The Integrity Committee in Parliament indicated, today, Saturday (July 6, 2024), that there are many observations on the work of some ministers, while it confirmed that pressures are what bring corrupt and failed ministers.
    Committee member Hadi Al-Salami said in an interview with Baghdad Today, "There are certainly many major observations on the work of some ministers in the current government, and there is a clear failure in the work of some of these ministers, in addition to the failure of most ministries to implement the ministerial program to reduce corruption, and therefore corruption operations continue and the Integrity Commission arrests a number of corrupt people in different ministries on a daily basis."
    Al-Salami said, “Corrupt ministers, as well as failed ones, came to their positions through political pressures, and that is why we see failure and failure in the work of many ministries. Any corruption in any department, even if it is in the governorates, is the responsibility of the minister, as corruption comes from the first executive official in the ministry. If the minister is firm and has real steps to deter corruption, there will be no corruption.”
    The member of the Parliamentary Integrity Committee added that "the political pressures on the Prime Minister pushed him to accept some corrupt and failed ministers, especially since the ruling parties are the ones who manage the ministries according to the quota system, and this is the reason for the failure and bringing in some corrupt ministers, at the expense of the interests of Iraq and the Iraqis."
