Will Iraq witness a new displacement?

After the Ministry of Migration and Displacement announced its intention to close the file of the return of the displaced and end the existence of camps, a new wave of displacement will be witnessed in Iraq with the continuation of the Turkish bombing in the north of the country.
The Turkish army's bombing of PKK positions forced the residents of the Sidekan area of the Kurdistan Region, especially farmers and herders, to move to safer pastures, but they insist on returning to save their livelihoods.
Dozens of farmers and herders headed to the office of the director of the Sidakan district in Erbil, stressing their determination not to abandon their jobs despite the constant danger from airstrikes, drones and artillery, and asking permission to continue working.
They expressed concern about rising temperatures in the lowlands and asked permission to return to the cooler highlands, an environment more suitable for farming and grazing.
Permits to enter the highlands of the region were issued to 1,403 families of livestock breeders, farmers and beekeepers.
Turkish shelling of PKK positions can be heard daily in the highlands.
Tensions are rising in these areas as the Turkish army continues its incursion into the Kurdistan Region.
The head of the Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee, Karim Aliwi Al-Muhammadawi, stated that “there is blatant Turkish interference in northern Iraq,” indicating that “this interference is not satisfactory to the Iraqi people and the Iraqi government.”
He added, "It is true that there are agreements that have been made with the Turkish side regarding minimal interference inside Iraqi territory, and there is Kurdish opposition to the Turkish government, and this is what was agreed upon by the Iraqi government and the Turkish government, but what we see today is blatant interference in northern Iraq."
He stressed that "there is an occupation of not a few parts of Dohuk Governorate, and this constitutes a dangerous situation," noting that "the Security and Defense Committee rejects this Turkish interference."
He stressed that “the Ministry of Foreign Affairs should invite the Turkish ambassador and deliver a letter of protest to the Turkish government that includes the Iraqi people’s dissatisfaction with these measures,” noting that “we strongly object to this interference, and we see that there are checkpoints from the Turkish side inside Iraqi territory to search citizens, and this is completely rejected.”
He said, "The Iraqi government must put an end to these violations that are taking place in northern Iraq."
Kurdish politician Ahmed Hama Jaafar also confirmed in a statement that “seven villages and towns within the axes surrounding Dohuk witnessed the displacement of dozens of families in the past four days due to the escalation of Turkish aerial and artillery bombardment and drones.”
He added, "The scenario of a comprehensive invasion of large areas surrounding Dohuk is looming on the horizon," stressing that "the Kurdistan Regional Government authorities are concealing the real numbers of displaced families."
He pointed out that "Turkish forces are now roaming in military convoys in several areas and towns of Dohuk Governorate," calling on "the central government in Baghdad to have a clear position towards the Turkish violations."
The Sidekan highlands are famous for their fertile pastures, but due to the ongoing fighting and instability between Turkey and the PKK, livestock breeders, farmers and beekeepers have been unable to access them for two years.
