, President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, received, on Tuesday, the Turkish ambassador to Iraq, Ali Reza Konay.
According to a statement by the Presidency of the Republic, the ambassador conveyed the greetings and congratulations of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid on the occasion of his election as President of the Republic, and his wishes for success in his work.
During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations between the two neighboring countries, and the President stressed the importance of consolidating economic and trade cooperation and other fields in order to enhance joint relations in a way that brings mutual benefit to the two friendly countries and peoples and achieves common security and stability.
For his part, Ambassador Alireza Konai affirmed his country's support for the security and stability of Iraq, and the desire to strengthen and develop bilateral relations in areas of common interest and to achieve the aspirations of the two countries and peoples. Ended 29/N33
