A member of the State of Law coalition, Kazem Ali, confirmed that the coordinating framework will resort to determining the government formation session in the event that the rest of the parties continue to delay submitting the names of their candidates and obstruct the passage of the new government.
Al-Haidari said, "The delay in forming the government and the reluctance of some parties to present candidates will cast a shadow over the current tense situation, and this matter cannot be accepted by the coordination framework."
He pointed out that "some parties did not leave the door open for the Prime Minister-designate to choose whomever he deems appropriate for his cabinet, despite the fact that the coordinating framework granted Al-Sudani the freedom to choose the candidates he presented to each ministry."
