The head of the National Wisdom Movement, Mr. Ammar al-Hakim, discussed today, Tuesday, with the Russian Ambassador to Iraq, Elbrus Kotrashev, the investment of Iraqi openness on its regional and international environment.
A statement by the media office of Mr. Al-Hakim, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "the head of the National Wisdom Movement, Mr. Ammar Al-Hakim, met today, the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Iraq, Elbrus Kotrashev," noting that "The meeting discussed bilateral relations between Baghdad and Moscow and developments in the political and economic conditions." in Iraq and the region and the results of the visit of Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov to Iraq.
During the meeting, Mr. Al-Hakim stressed, according to the statement, "the importance of the success of the current government in performing its tasks, especially in the file of services, providing job opportunities, and improving the economic reality."
He stressed "the necessity of investing Iraqi openness on its regional and international surroundings and promoting investment opportunities and economic files," calling for "intensifying efforts to bring peace to the world and spreading the language of dialogue and understanding."[/size]
