    Alsumaria News - Politics

Prime Minister Muhammad Shia'a al-Sudani confirmed today, Tuesday, that the delay in implementing the fifth licensing round has caused great losses to Iraq.

Al-Sudani's media office stated, in a statement received by Al-Sumaria News, that "in the presence of Prime Minister Muhammad Shia'a Al-Sudani, the final signing ceremony of the contracts for the fifth licensing round took place today at the Ministry of Oil, for the border blocks and fields."

Al-Sudani pointed out that "the implementation of the fifth licensing round was delayed for 5 years, causing great losses and unfortunate environmental damage to Iraq."

Al-Sudani stressed that "the trend towards investment in associated gas and natural gas stems from a firm conviction, to achieve economic reforms, which are a main focus of the government program."
