Baghdad / Obelisk Al-Hadath: The President of the Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, discussed with the President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Faeq Zaidan, and Speaker of Parliament, Muhammad al-Halbousi, the issue of re-exporting oil and the draft federal budget law.
A statement from Barzani's office, received by Al-Masalla, stated that the latter met in Baghdad today with Faeq Zaidan, head of the judicial authority in Iraq, and they exchanged views on the general situation, the latest developments, and the agreement of the Kurdistan Regional Government and the federal government of Iraq to re-export oil.
The two sides agreed, according to the statement, on the importance of the positive role of the judiciary in converging views and solving the country's problems, stressing the need for everyone's support to implement the federal government's approach.
He pointed out that the developments of the Erbil-Baghdad dialogue to address the problems between them, another focus of the meeting.
In a related context, Barzani discussed with Al-Halbousi the draft general budget for Iraq, which is currently in parliament for a vote.
The two sides agreed on the importance of issuing the law, which would have an effective role in developing the financial situation and restarting businesses and projects.
