"The Electoral Commission is keen to ensure that the elections are fair and transparent," Khashan said in a statement to Al-Maalouma agency, pointing out that it "needs sufficient time to fully prepare the requirements of the electoral process."
He added, “The Provincial Council Elections Law was enacted in a short period of time and set a date that is not appropriate to allow sufficient time for the Electoral Commission, so statements began from within the Electoral Commission that it needs more time than the period specified by the House of Representatives.”
He pointed out, "The period that was granted to the Electoral Commission is not sufficient, and it needs to be extended and granted for a period of no less than another six months."
    Khashan pointed out, "
