    [size=45]The Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, Brigadier General Ali Akbar Ahmadian, stressed the importance of ending the presence of anti-Iranian elements inside Iraqi territory.[/size]
    [size=45]During the meeting with National Security Adviser Qassem Al-Araji, Ahmadian said, "The recent security agreement between Iran and Iraq came as a result of months of dialogue and joint efforts of the relevant institutions in the two countries and a roadmap for stabilizing security on the borders and paving the way for expanding cooperation in other fields."[/size]
    [size=45]Ahmadian added, according to Iranian media, "The policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran has always been to support the Iraqi government on the basis of the will of the Iraqi people."[/size]
    [size=45]Ahmadian pointed out, "The role of the Iraqi government is to cooperate to ensure the security of the Iraqi-Iranian border as soon as possible, while ending the presence of elements opposed to the Iranian Islamic Revolution in this country."[/size]
    [size=45]He noted that "the will of the Islamic Republic of Iran is to comprehensively expand and deepen relations with neighboring countries, especially the brotherly and friendly country of Iraq," and declared "Iran's readiness for bilateral and multilateral cooperation and interaction to implement this policy in all its dimensions."[/size]
    [size=45]For his part, Qassem Al-Araji stressed the importance of "expediting the implementation of the bilateral agreements concluded, especially in the economic and security fields," and announced "Iraq's commitment to the agreement that was recently signed between the two countries."[/size]
    [size=45]Al-Araji considered, "This recent agreement between the two countries is based on the belief that the stability and development of Iran and Iraq is a guarantee for improving the national security factor of the two countries and a basis for peace and progress in the region."[/size]
