Today, Friday, the Minister of Interior, Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, directed the civil status departments to redouble efforts to accommodate the increasing number of citizens registered to obtain the national card.
The ministry stated, in a statement that Mawazine News received a copy of, that "within the framework of the Minister of Interior's keenness for all citizens to obtain the national card, in addition to the reliance of all state institutions on this official document in keeping pace with most official transactions due to the high security specifications that characterize it, This led to an increase and a large number of citizens to obtain the national card, which caused momentum in the civil status departments.
And she added, "As a result, the Minister of Interior instructed all departments of the national card to redouble efforts for the purpose of providing the last visitor with his card in accordance with the legal controls, in addition to a number of measures taken by the minister, which reflected positively on the work, including his order to divide the departments of Rusafa, Kadhimiya and Sadr into two parts to accommodate Preparing auditors and facilitating procedures for them.
And she explained, "The number of those registered to obtain the card jumped during the past month from twenty-seven million to thirty million five hundred thousand registered citizens, and this of course constitutes a momentum for the national card departments."
The Ministry of the Interior called on citizens to "commit to the directives of the Directorate of National Card Affairs and the dates of their reviews, and to assist their brothers in the Directorate for the purpose of improving the level of services provided to them and completing all transactions."
