    Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudani stressed, on Wednesday, the need for Baghdad to double service work, while pointing out the importance of the capital giving priority.

    Al-Sudanese office said in a statement, “The Prime Minister visited, this evening, Wednesday, the Baghdad Municipality building, and he was received by the Mayor of Baghdad and the advanced staff in the municipality, and he held a meeting with municipal directors in the capital, Baghdad, and was briefed on the work progress of implementing projects related to drinking water.” Sanitation and infrastructure projects, and he followed up with the municipal directors the levels of achievement and the obstacles that impede the implementation of the plans prepared according to the timetables.



    The meeting witnessed, according to the statement, "a review of a report that includes citizens' opinions and their evaluation of the level of municipal services provided in different areas of the capital, and in multiple municipal departments," stressing that "citizen satisfaction is the criterion for the quality and purpose of services."

    Al-Sudani continued, "The work of the Baghdad Municipality and its executive programs that stems from the priorities of the government program in the service axis, and he made observations regarding its workflow," stressing "the need of the capital, Baghdad, to Double service work in its residential areas and neighborhoods, and to be at an exceptional level in terms of implementation and timing," and stressed on "the need to make maximum efforts to serve the people of the capital and to provide municipal services, so that Baghdad appears in the best way, and reflects its bright history and heritage.
