    Shafaq News/ The Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia'a Al-Sudani stressed today, Tuesday, the success of the service and security plans prepared to secure the revival of the Arbaeen visit ceremony of Imam Hussein in the city of Karbala.
    This came during his chairmanship of a meeting that included the chairman and members of the Permanent Supreme Committee for the Million Visits, and the Supreme Security Committee for the Arbaeen visit this year.



    The statement added that Al-Sudani reviewed a report prepared by the Standing Committee regarding the plans and programs that have been accomplished, and securing service requirements in all its forms, especially with regard to promoting millions of Iraqi and foreign visitors, and standing on the procedures of the Ministry of Interior, within the facilities provided at the border crossings to receive Arab and foreign visitors. And an emphasis on securing a high level of smoothness in border facilities to receive visitors and see them off.
    He was also briefed on the most prominent of what has been implemented, with regard to the provision of services related to health, transportation, electricity, rehabilitation and development of roads for the walk of visitors on foot from all governorates towards the holy city of Karbala, and all other forms of services that must be provided by the ministries and governorates that witness great momentum for visitors. .

    The Prime Minister stressed that maximum efforts be made to ensure the success of the service and security plans prepared to secure the commemoration ceremonies, stressing that the government has attached great importance to the millions of visits that Iraq witnesses annually, which require high-level strategic planning.
    Al-Sudani directed the Permanent Supreme Committee for Visits to complete its plans in a thoughtful manner commensurate with the annual increase in the number of visitors from inside and outside Iraq, and the necessity of coordination with all parties concerned with implementation and concerted efforts, in a way that guarantees an upgrade in the level of services provided to the visitors of Abi Al-Ahrar Al-Hussein Bin Ali.
    He stressed that the government considers with responsibility the file of organizing visits, as a legal and functional obligation, in addition to the economic importance this file poses to revitalizing religious tourism, which requires the development of plans and programs to accommodate the millions of people, referring to the continuous coordination with officials in other countries regarding the promotion of visitors. And provide the required facilities at the border crossings.

    Last February, the Prime Minister directed the formation of the Permanent Higher Committee for Million Visits, headed by the Director of the Prime Minister’s Office, with the membership of the Secretary-General of the General Secretariat for Provincial Affairs, the Holy Governor of Karbala, representatives of the Ministries of Interior, Transport, Construction, Housing, Municipalities and Culture, the Joint Operations Command and the Chairman of the Commission. border crossings.
    The committee undertakes the tasks of developing plans and strategic solutions to accommodate millions of visitors, and provide them with basic services in all governorates and border crossings, towards the holy cities.
