    Today, Saturday (February 24, 2024), Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani stressed the need for service programs in Karbala Governorate to be compatible with the government program, to provide an integrated and harmonious effort.
    Al-Sudani’s media office stated in a statement received by “Baghdad Today” that “Prime Minister Muhammad Shia’ al-Sudani received today, Saturday, the Governor of Karbala, Nassif Jassim Al-Khattabi, the Chairman of the Provincial Council, Qasim Ali Al-Yasari, and members of the Provincial Council.”
    He stated, “At the beginning of the meeting, Al-Sudani renewed his blessing for the council to carry out its duties and choose the local government,” stressing “the necessity of developing an economic service program that improves the services of the Holy Governorate of Karbala, and the living and economic conditions of citizens in the center of the city of Karbala, because of its specificity, historical importance, and sanctity.” Religious, in addition to caring for citizens and their residential areas in the districts and districts.”
    Al-Sudani stressed, according to the statement, that “the service, economic and social programs of the Provincial Council must be compatible with the government program and all its basic goals and priorities, in order to provide an integrated and consistent effort with the efforts of the federal government, which views local governments in the governorates as the parallel arm of the ministries in providing Service to the citizen.
    The Prime Minister pointed out that “the government will work to empower the service and executive departments in the governorates, and assign the supervisory and legislative role to their councils, on the path to meeting the ambitions of citizens, completing strategic projects in infrastructure, and moving services to a distinguished level that can be felt by the people of Karbala and its visitors, who come to it from All over the world".
