The Human Rights Commission coordinates with the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs to create subcommittees for the Disability Authority within the districts of Anbar Governorate.
The Director of the Relations and Media Department at the Commission, Sarmad Al-Badri, told Al-Sabah: The coordination of the Commission’s office in Anbar Governorate came based on appeals received from people with special needs to demand facilitation of the procedures for completing the MasterCard card issuance transactions for them in order to obtain Their dues were delayed due to the large number of procedures.
He stated that the management of the Authority for People with Disabilities confirmed to the Commission’s team that it was the momentum occurring that delayed the transactions and not the administrative procedures, noting that the Authority’s website receives 250 to 300 requests daily to issue a MasterCard, in addition to reviewers who have to update data or correct transactions, pointing out that The Commission called on the Ministry to provide the Authority with the necessary staff.
