Jordanian Prime Minister Beshr Hani Al-Khasawneh arrived in Baghdad today, Monday (July 24, 2023), at the head of a Jordanian government delegation on an official visit to Iraq.
A statement by the Prime Minister's Media Office, received by "Baghdad Today", said, "Al-Khasawneh arrived in Baghdad at the head of a Jordanian government delegation on an official visit to Iraq, where an official reception ceremony will be held for the guest Prime Minister, led by Prime Minister Muhammad Shia'a Al-Sudani."
The statement added, "Al-Sudani will hold talks with the Jordanian Prime Minister, within the expanded meetings of the joint Iraqi-Jordanian committee."
A government source told "Baghdad Today", earlier in the day, that "Jordanian Prime Minister Bishr Al-Khasawneh will meet during the visit with Prime Minister Muhammad Shia'a Al-Sudani, to discuss the possibility of completing the implementation of the Basra-Aqaba pipeline project, in addition to a number of economic and security files related to border control and drug control."
And the source indicated that "the Jordanian Prime Minister will meet during his visit to the capital, Baghdad, with the President of the Republic, the Speaker of Parliament, and some political leaders, to discuss the same files."
