, Uday Awad, the representative of the Sadiqoon Bloc, described Thursday the Khor Abdullah agreement as unfair, and while he confirmed that this agreement granted areas to Kuwait away from UN resolutions, he criticized the weak role of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in negotiations with the Kuwaiti side.
Awad Khalil said in an interview reported by the media of his bloc, "The Iraqis do not accept the Safwan tent agreements, just as Kuwait's borders used to end at (Al-Mutlaa)," explaining that "the houses in Umm Qasr were demolished according to unfair decisions."
Awad added, "Kuwait does not recognize Iraq as a state, and the Khor Abdullah agreement is unfair and grants areas to Kuwait away from UN resolutions," stressing that "Kuwait seeks to impose a fait accompli on the borders."
And he continued, "Kuwait is provoking the Iraqis in the border file," noting that "the houses in Umm Qasr were demolished according to unfair decisions."
He pointed out, "The current Umm Qasr crisis coincided with the anniversary of the invasion of Kuwait by the defunct regime," pointing out that "the Kuwaiti media is disrespectful and mocking the Iraqi people."
And Awwad explained, "The words of the governor of Basra, Asaad Al-Eidani, regarding his message are inaccurate, and that his statements against Kuwait do not concern the governor of Basra," noting that he "supported the governor when he nominated his name for prime minister and paid the price later."
Awwad pointed out that the Kuwaiti Foreign Minister thanked the governor of Basra for the "facilitations that were provided," although the Ministry of Transport rejects the Kuwaiti decisions that are not in the interest of Iraq, as it placed Khawr Abdullah to harass Iraqi ports and 100 percent Iraqi.
And Awwad saw that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs had a "zero" role in the negotiations with Kuwait, stressing that he was still steadfast in his tweet and would not withdraw it. Ended 29 / H
