    Independent MP Bassem Khashan confirmed today, Monday, the intention of the members of the House of Representatives, led by the independents, to challenge the Council of Ministers’ decision to send an amount of two trillion and one hundred billion dinars for the current fiscal year to the Kurdistan region.

    Khashan said in a statement to the Maalouma Agency, “The Council of Ministers’ vote during yesterday’s session to grant a financial loan to the region amounting to two trillion and one hundred billion dinars is incorrect and has no legal basis.” 
    He added, "The Cabinet's decision violates the federal general budget law approved by Parliament."
    Yesterday, Sunday, the Council of Ministers voted to lend the Iraqi Kurdistan Regional Government an amount of two trillion and one hundred billion dinars for the current fiscal year, to be paid in three equal installments of (700) billion dinars for each installment, starting in the month of September. Ended / 25 AD
