Mawazine News - Baghdad,
the representative of the coordinating framework, Ali Al-Bandawi, attributed the delay in deciding the choice of the Speaker of Parliament to waiting for the decision of the Federal Supreme Court regarding resolving the fate of the election session.
Al-Bandawi said in a televised interview followed by Mawazine News, “Sunni political movements are continuing to resolve the issue of electing the Speaker of Parliament.”
He added, "The election of the new Speaker of Parliament depends on the decision of the Federal Supreme Court, and the Sunni House has not yet agreed on a single person for the position of Speaker of the House of Representatives."
He pointed out that "Iraq needs important legislation and laws, and it is not correct to continue delaying the election of the Speaker of Parliament, and all political forces must accelerate the resolution of the election of the new Speaker of Parliament."
