The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs is working on preparing a new electronic system in coordination with UNICEF, to accommodate the increasing numbers of those under its care, and to clean data from violators, while it has completed social research operations in all service and engineering effort areas in Baghdad and three other governorates.
The head of the Ministry’s Social Protection Authority, Ahmed Al-Moussawi, said in an interview with “Al-Sabah” followed by “Al-Iqtisad News” that the Ministry, in cooperation with UNICEF, is working to adopt a mechanism for joint cooperation to prepare a new electronic system for the Information Technology Center, in order to accommodate the continued expansion of inclusion operations and the need to provide Modern programs and devices, within the plan prepared to reform the Social Protection Authority system and clean data from abusers, pointing out that the project will provide its services to all Social Protection Authority departments and divisions in the governorates, and will contribute to shortening time and accuracy of information, in addition to facilitating the work of social researchers during their field visits.
Al-Mousawi added that the Authority completed social research procedures in all service and engineering effort areas in the governorates of Baghdad, Diwaniyah, Muthanna and Maysan, noting that the number of targeted families within the aforementioned areas reached 123,219 families.
