The government reaps the fruits of {productive diplomacy}

A number of specialists in the economic and political fields praised the “productive diplomacy” adopted by the government of Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, which aroused the desire of many Arab heads of state to visit Iraq and achieve fruitful economic openness to it.
The director of the Iraq Strategic Center, Dr. Ghazi Faisal, said in an interview with Al-Sabah: “The (productive diplomacy) adopted by the Iraqi government contributed to openness in economic, trade and investment relations, in particular between Iraq and the Middle East and Arabian Gulf region on the one hand, and also on the level of Relations with industrialized countries and major production and investment countries in the world, including China, the United States of America, Britain, and the European Union countries.”
He added, "Iraq possesses great wealth, as minerals constitute an estimated $30 trillion, which require investments by major companies in order to develop industrial opportunities technologically, especially in the fields of iron and steel, steel, sulfur, petrochemicals, and other precious metals that Iraq possesses." In addition, the gas, which is estimated at 134 trillion cubic feet, requires investments, companies, distinguished efforts, and partnership relations between Iraq and regional countries. There are also more than 154 billion barrels of oil globally as a giant reserve owned by Iraq, and this reserve is growing significantly to attract major energy companies.”
Faisal pointed out that “(productive diplomacy) is the real opportunity to build a comprehensive strategy for industrial, agricultural and commercial development. It is also an opportunity to build an economic base for services, tourism and other opportunities open to international companies to invest and make profits, and to move out of the mono-economy to an investment economy that is open to various fields across the world.” These global partnerships.
For his part, political affairs analyst Omar Al-Nasser said in an interview with “Al-Sabah”: “Iraq needs practical openness, not paper. Today, no country can have a role in influencing and making political decisions in any region if it is not in harmony with common interests.” The rest of the surrounding countries, especially since the world today has become a “small village” united by one challenge, starting with terrorism, the threat of drought, the global food crisis, and ending with economic challenges.
He pointed out that "the current government's tendency is to strengthen relations based on the principle of mutual respect between countries, good neighborliness, and clearing the regional atmosphere, by starting to draw a (starting point) for economic alliances instead of politics with the rest of the countries."
