Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani confirmed, on Saturday, that the government has adopted an economic approach in opening up to productive partnerships and developing the investment environment in Iraq.
The Prime Minister's Media Office said in a statement seen by "Al-Eqtisad News" that "Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani received a delegation from the Chinese CETC Group, which specializes in energy, construction technology and infrastructure."
According to the statement, Al-Sudani pointed out "the economic approach adopted by the government in opening up to productive partnerships and developing the investment environment in Iraq, in a way that suits international companies, attracts investments, enhances partnership with the Iraqi private sector, and provides supportive sovereign guarantees."
For his part, the Chinese group delegation expressed "its desire to participate in the infrastructure sector in Iraq, and contribute to development and economic projects, in a way that expands the scope of cooperation with the Iraqi private and public sectors, and within various economic and investment fields."
