Today, Tuesday, the Ministry of Oil announced the reclamation of two oil wells in Kirkuk Governorate for the North Oil Company.
The ministry said in a statement received by Al-Iqtisad News, "The technical and engineering staff of the Iraqi Drilling Company completed the reclamation of two oil wells in the Khabbaz and Jambur oil fields."
The ministry added, "Khabaz Well 43 was reclaimed using the IDC 206 drilling rig, and it is the first well completed by the company within a nine-well reclamation project for the North Oil Company in the Khabbaz oil field."
The Ministry of Oil continued, “The Ministry’s cadres completed the reclamation of the Jambur/75 well using the IDC 209 drilling rig for the North Oil Company also within the project to reclaim 4 wells in the northern Jambur field.”
The Ministry continued, "Reclamation operations are being carried out for oil wells that were previously drilled, with the aim of activating the oil-producing layers, changing production areas or producing from several layers, and replacing old and inoperable pumps with new, highly efficient ones to increase production in the oil wells."
