Al-Asam said in a statement to Al-Maalouma, “Under the pretext of the presence of foreign advisors and trainers, American ground combat forces were deployed and are deployed in four bases, Ain Al-Assad, which contains the largest number, followed by the American embassy, and then Harir Base and Camp Victoria within Baghdad Airport.” .
He added, "The American claim concludes that the number of American forces did not exceed two thousand and five hundred soldiers at a time when estimates and indicators show larger numbers with huge armament."
He pointed out that "the American presence increases the security pressures on Iraq, and the presence of any foreign forces in the country must end, especially given the sensitive situation in the region."
The Iraqi Islamic Resistance claimed responsibility for targeting the American bases in Ain al-Assad and Harir in Iraqi Kurdistan, while the American forces vowed more operations, stressing that they would not stand by and watch the genocide taking place against the Palestinians in Gaza.
