{Politics: Al-Furat News} Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Independent High Electoral Commission, Omar Ahmed, confirmed the readiness to hold provincial council elections on the 18th of next month.
Ahmed said in a press statement, "We have completed all preparations to manage and organize free and fair elections on polling day."
He called on "the media to play its role and contribute to the success of the provincial council elections by urging voters to vote."
