    Today, Tuesday, a member of the House of Representatives, Kazem Al-Touki, presented the latest developments in the session to select the Speaker of Parliament, and while he pointed to the impact of political agreements on passing one of the candidates, he confirmed the existence of approvals for some figures.

    Al-Touki said, in an interview with the Maalouma Agency, that “tomorrow’s session dedicated to electing the Speaker of the House of Representatives is still unclear, especially since we have become accustomed to not completing any file except by caesarean section.”
    He added, "The choice of the Speaker of Parliament depends on the existence of prior political agreements, through which he can pass smoothly," stressing that "the parties forming the current government (the State Administration Coalition) have not yet announced any political agreement, nor revealed any name of a candidate for the presidency of Parliament." ".
    The member of the House of Representatives explained, "There are approvals for some of the figures nominated for the Presidency of the House of Representatives, such as Representative Abdul Karim Abtan, who may be considered one of the most prominent candidates for this position."
    Earlier, former representative of the Forces Alliance, Jamila Al-Obaidi, confirmed on Tuesday that there was difficulty in choosing the new Speaker of the House of Representatives due to political competition between Sunni forces, suggesting that the session would be postponed due to the lack of a quorum.
    Yesterday, Monday, the House of Representatives announced that its next session would be allocated to electing the Speaker of the House of Representatives, after the membership of Muhammad Al-Halbousi was terminated from the Council and his removal from the presidency. Ended/25 Rs
