    Undersecretary [url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/Entity/1141067227/%D9%85%D8%A7%D9%87%D8%B1 %D8%AD%D9%85%D8%A7%D8%AF %D8%AC%D9%88%D9%87%D8%A7%D9%86/ar/]Maher Hammad Johan[/url] said, “The targets of the [url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/Entity/2967883465/%D8%AE%D8%B7%D8%A9 %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%AA%D9%86%D9%85%D9%8A%D8%A9 %D8%A7%D9%84%D9%88%D8%B7%D9%86%D9%8A%D8%A9/ar/]National Development Plan[/url] 2024-2028 expect the population growth rate to fall below 2.5% and the proportion of the working-age population to reach about 60% of the general total, which requires achieving an economic growth rate that generates job opportunities and meets the population’s needs for education.” And health, services and work, according to the official Al-Sabah newspaper.



    Johan added, “The plan seeks to achieve an economic growth rate of 3%, which is affected by oil prices, the volume of investments and foreign trade, in addition to stabilizing inflation rates at one decimal place, which is a factor that affects the purchasing power and standard of living of citizens,” noting that “expectations confirm Government investments contribute 78% of the total investment, while the private sector contributes 22% during the years of the plan, raising the agricultural sector’s contribution to the gross domestic product from 3.2% to 3.5% at the end of the plan’s life.”

    The planning official continued, “There is interest in manufacturing industries and increasing the percentage of their contribution to the formation of the gross domestic product from 1.2 to 1.4%, achieving economic, social and political stability in a way that ensures a safe, sound and appropriate environment for development, and creating economic and structural transformations in the economy in a way that reduces its rents, in addition to improving The sectors of transportation, communications, education, health, and stabilizing digital transformation.”
