Al-Sudani's office stated in a statement, "The latter received the Secretary-General of the Kurdistan Islamic Union, Salah al-Din Muhammad Bahaa al-Din, and his accompanying delegation. The meeting witnessed a review of the most important files and issues at the national level, and the government's efforts to provide services to citizens in all governorates."
During the meeting, Al-Sudani stressed, “The government is keen to improve the living conditions of citizens in the Kurdistan region of Iraq, and to regularly receive the salaries of employees and retirees, as is the case with other citizens in all governorates of Iraq,” pointing to “the agreements concluded in this regard and the necessity of adhering to them.”
He stressed "the importance of strengthening security and stability throughout Iraq, and the government's interest in providing full support to the Independent High Electoral Commission for the success of the Iraqi Kurdistan Regional Parliament elections scheduled for next February."
