Kirkuk Governorate reported that work is underway with specialists in the Ministry of Transport to return the Kirkuk-Baghdad railway line to service again.
The Governor of Kirkuk, Rakan Saeed Al-Jubouri, said in an interview with “Al-Sabah”: During his meeting at the governorate headquarters with the Director General of the Railway Company in the Ministry of Transport, Engineer Younis Khaled Jawad, and in the presence of specialists in the governorate and the ministry, he discussed all technical matters related to the (Kirkuk-Baghdad) railway line project. ) and its route, in addition to future lines that pass through Kirkuk Governorate, and following up and researching railway routes in the city of Kirkuk.
