Amending the Health Professions Law “robs” scientists of the central appointment 3 years after it was granted

A parliamentary proposal to amend the Health Professions Law revealed that supporting professions were “robbed” of the right to central appointment 3 years after it was granted to them.
An official statement issued by Parliament, received by “Baghdad Today”, stated, “The proposal for the first amendment law to the law on the training of those in medical and health professions came in order to appoint those with medical, health and support professions in the institutions of the Ministry of Health from graduates for the coming years and those enrolled in studies in the academic year 2024 and 2025.” And beyond, according to the needs of the ministry.”
It is noteworthy that the House of Representatives had previously amended the law in 2019 and granted supporting professions, including scientists, 10% of the central appointment grades annually, but the new amendment took it away again, and appointment became according to need only 3 years after granting them a percentage of the appointment.
In its session held today, Wednesday, the House of Representatives completed the first reading of the proposed law for the fourth amendment to the Law on the Graduation of Persons in the Medical and Health Professions No. (6) of 2000.
