    [size=45]The Ministry of Transport has set next May 4 as the date for the first direct flight from Baghdad International Airport to the Chinese capital, Beijing, via Basra International Airport, after a hiatus that lasted for several years.[/size]
    [size=45]A statement from the ministry stated:
    The Ministry of Transport revealed the date of the opening of a new direct line for the national carrier’s flights between Iraq and China, based on the directives of His Excellency the Minister, Mr. Razzaq Muhaibas Al-Saadawi, to open new travel destinations and expand the work of Iraqi Airlines.[/size]
    [size=45]Next May 4 will be the date for the first direct flight from Baghdad International Airport through Basra International Airport and then to Beijing Daxing International Airport, after a hiatus that lasted for several years.[/size]
    [size=45]The operational plan of the General Company for Iraqi Airlines, which is directly supervised by the Minister of Transport, which includes expanding and diversifying the network of external destinations for the Green Bird, has completed the procedures for the return of operation of this vital line between Iraq and China, which is the second of its kind after the (Kwangju) sector.[/size]
    [size=45]The number of scheduled flights will be two flights per week, one way from Iraq on Saturday and Tuesday, and back from Beijing on Sunday and Wednesday, in addition to the allocation of the Dreamliner aircraft, which is characterized by high travel luxury and is suitable for long distances.[/size]
    [size=45]In turn, the Director General of Iraqi Airways, Engineer Manaf Abdel Moneim Urgent, stated that the operating plan, which has the support of His Excellency the Minister, aims to raise the level of services and launch multiple and competitive offers, stressing the company’s keenness to implement the largest number of flights, transport passengers, and maximize the financial revenues of Iraqi Airways.[/size]
