    Today, Wednesday (May 29, 2024), the General Company for Iraqi Ports revealed the completion of 94% of the berths of the Al-Faw Grand Project, while indicating that the date for receiving all berths in the project will be at the end of this year.
    The company’s general manager, Farhan Al-Fartusi, said in an interview with “Baghdad Today” that “the submerged tunnel in the port will be completed within four days,” indicating that “the filling in the container yard will be completed at the end of this year, and the road inside the port can be walked on.” "In a few months."
    He added, "The four berths have been completed, and there is not much left to complete all the berths except covering the slopes with stone, in addition to connecting the berths to the container yard through bridges," explaining that "the completion rate has reached 94%, and they will be received in October of this year."
    Al-Fartousi stated that “the container yard has reached about 75% completion, while the road linking Al-Faw port and the Umm Qasr area, which is 51 km long, and the cladding work for the first layer has reached 41 km.”
    He pointed out that "we promised the Prime Minister that the cladding would be completed in November, as it represents great importance and is the first section of the development road," noting that "the completion rate on the bridges has reached about 80 percent for the first and second bridges, and the completion rates have reached advanced stages."
