[rtl]Baghdad / NINA / The Minister of Industry and Minerals, Khaled Battal Al-Najm, participated in the twenty-eighth session of the General Assembly of the Arab Organization for Industrial Development, Standardization and Mining, which was held in the capital of the Kingdom of Morocco, Rabat, in the presence of ministers and officials from the Arab member states of the organization.
A statement by the Ministry stated, “The most important achievements of the organization were presented between the sessions of the General Assembly (27 and 28), the Arab Codex Alimentarius Initiative, and the Industrial Integration Strategy. The Arab Strategy for Standardization and Quality for the years (2024-2028) was also launched.
According to the statement, the session’s work included discussing a number of topics.” The mission includes the report of the Executive Council on its activity between the 27th and 28th sessions of the Assembly, the report on following up on the implementation of the decisions of the 27th session of the General Assembly, as well as the position of member states’ payment of their contributions, the work program and budget of the organization for the years (2025 and 2026), and other topics with the aim of improving the organization’s work in the areas of development. Industrial, quality standards, mineral wealth, and implementing programs and activities that keep pace with regional and international economic changes in order to develop the industry, achieve competitiveness for industrial products, and support the mining sector in a way that meets the ambitions and directions of the Arab member states to achieve industrial integration and joint investments./End 8[/rtl]
