The Embassy of the Republic of Iraq to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia announced today, Wednesday (June 12, 2024), the temporary suspension of its consular services during the Eid Al-Adha holiday.
The embassy stated in a statement received by “Baghdad Today” that it “temporarily suspends its consular services during the blessed Eid Al-Adha holiday, starting on Wednesday, corresponding to 6/12/2024, provided that official working hours resume on Sunday, corresponding to 6/23/2024,” indicating that “it will continue.” Providing services for emergency situations.
The embassy explained to the Iraqi pilgrims that “The General Consulate in Jeddah is the body functionally concerned with following up on all emergency matters as a specialized body concerned with the Hajj and Umrah file and consular services for the geographic area of Jeddah, Mecca and Medina.”
She stated, “The file of following up on Hajj, pilgrims, and consular services for pilgrims falls within the scope of work and jurisdiction of the General Consulate in Jeddah, and its main tasks are the Hajj and Umrah file.”
