    Baghdad today - Baghdad
Member of the Protest Committee in Sulaymaniyah, Saman Ali, confirmed today, Thursday (June 27, 2024), that the protesters will increase their means of pressure in the coming days.
Ali said in an interview with “Baghdad Today” that “the regional government anesthetized the protesters by making promises that were not implemented regarding the launch of promotions for educational staff and employees throughout the region.”
He added, "Despite the passage of more than 4 months since the protests were halted, the regional government has not yet restored the promotions and allowances that have been suspended since 2015. Therefore, we will escalate the means of pressure, including the return of protests, to pressure the Kurdistan Regional Government."
The federal and regional governments have “finally” reached a solution that ends the employee salaries crisis in Kurdistan, after years of repeated crises, but the issue of issuing raises and differences seems to be a new crisis that will crack the head of the regional government again.
