    The office of the Prime Minister's Advisor, Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, announced today, Thursday, the introduction of artificial intelligence into school curricula.
    The office’s artificial intelligence applications officer, Raghad Al-Shabandar, said, “Al-Sudani raised the slogan of artificial intelligence, ‘The Path to the Global Labor Market,’ at the Davos Conference,” noting that the goal of the Prime Minister’s Office for Scientific, Academic Affairs and Artificial Intelligence is to build a knowledge economy based on human capital, not an economy based on human and financial resources.”
    She added, "The main factors for building a knowledge economy are education, innovation and research. To build a solid type of this economy, we must prepare a young generation that possesses the skills of the Fourth Industrial Revolution to be able to work in global companies."
    Al-Shabandar stressed that “one of the most important projects of the office is the smart management of water resources and maintaining water security using artificial intelligence technologies in building smart regulators around the banks of the Tigris and Euphrates rivers, which contribute to solving the problem of water pollution and reducing the salt tongue and water scarcity, and establishing the national team for artificial intelligence in cooperation with the National Security Advisory to undertake holding workshops and conferences in all government institutions and spreading awareness campaigns to reduce the risks of artificial intelligence.”
    She continued by saying that the establishment of a research center at the American University in cooperation with the Center for Engineering of Artificial Intelligence Applications Technologies at the Ministry of Higher Education under the name “Center for Engineering of Artificial Intelligence Applications Technologies”, will support the gifted and scientific research that will play a major role in building a knowledge economy, and cooperate with the Ministry of Education to introduce artificial intelligence into the curricula, while confirming that the office is in the process of obtaining the approval of the Opinion Authority to include the concepts of the Fourth Industrial Revolution in the curricula.
