Establishing a corniche on the banks of the Tigris in Al-A'dhamiyah

The Ministry of Water Resources has prepared joint committees to establish a corniche on the banks of the Tigris River, along with developing the Adhamiyah area, while similar projects will soon be completed in Baghdad and a number of
Governorates.
Minister Aoun Diab Abdullah said in an interview with Al-Sabah: The project includes the construction of a corniche on the banks of the Tigris, along with the development of the approaches to the Freedom Bridge in Al-Krayat, in addition to expanding the street on both banks of the bridge.
He added that his ministry is continuing with similar projects in Baghdad and the governorates to complete them soon, similar to Sinbad Road, which was completed some time ago and contributed to relieving the congestion of Al-Zafaraniya Street and Intersection. Its works included stone cladding of the part overlooking the banks of the Tigris, and planting the Corniche with trees and seedlings.
