Parliament: {General amnesty} still pending

The Al-Sadiqoun parliamentary bloc rejected including murderers and terrorists in the general amnesty law.
Bloc member, Mohammed Al-Baldawi, told Al-Sabah: The Coordination Framework “rejects the inclusion of terrorists, murderers and criminals in the general amnesty,” explaining that “pardoning terrorists and criminals is wrong, and the general amnesty law is supposed to include special and specific cases according to Iraqi law in a way that ensures the implementation of justice.”
He added that "the proposed law has not yet specified the specific issues related to private rights and public rights of crimes. As for the crimes of murder, terrorism, crime and drugs that affect Iraqi national security, they are crimes whose perpetrators must be held accountable."
