Information/Baghdad...
Day after day, the performance of the most important portfolio in the Iraqi government formation, which is the cornerstone in organizing foreign relations and diplomacy with countries, is declining.

Fuad Hussein, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, who only arrived at his ministry one day a month, made the ministry a hostage in the hands of the agents and officials close to him, at a time when the ministry needed to make decisions on many important files, especially those related to the country’s sovereignty, issues concerning embassies in other countries, and following up on the situation of Iraqis abroad.
The absence of the minister from his ministry and the presence of the henchmen of the defunct regime inside the ministry made fingers of accusation point at it from various classes and segments, especially the political ones, as the ministry was inherited by the Baathists and corruption spread within it according to what some politicians stated, especially with regard to granting diplomatic passports to those who did not deserve them.
The head of the Wojood Movement, Muhammad Abu Sa'ida, told Al-Maalouma, "The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and its Minister, Fuad Hussein, have been absent from the scene for 8 years, especially since there are those who are talking from within the ministry that it has ended with this minister in power."
He added, "The Minister of Foreign Affairs does not arrive at his ministry headquarters except for one day a month, as the minister leaves matters in the hands of his office director and some other undersecretaries."
He explained that "the Foreign Ministry file is one of the largest files, especially since the ministry lacks its minister and has cadres far from precise specialization, as there are specialists in physical education, technical sciences, art and drawing, in addition to the presence of a doctorate specialization in the thought of the leader and mother of battles, as well as a doctorate in the thought of the late Uday Saddam Hussein in formulating the Iraqi media, which confirms the infiltration of the Baath and its henchmen in this ministry since 2003 until this moment."
He pointed out that there are diplomatic employees in the ministry who held diplomatic positions during the days of the defunct regime and have great influence in the repressive apparatuses before 2003 and are still present in the ministry.
On the other hand, the leader of the United Anbar Alliance, Mohammed Al-Dulaimi, confirmed to / Al-Maalouma /, that "the Ministry of Foreign Affairs granted and facilitated the process of granting diplomatic passports to relatives of officials in the ministry and some political and ordinary figures, and this passport has become worthless to the countries of the world because it was granted to categories not included in carrying this document that is granted to the diplomatic corps and important figures."
He added that "the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is responsible for the corruption file of granting diplomatic passports to categories other than those included in an attempt to inherit power and build fiefdoms for the sons of officials in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at the expense of the country's reputation," indicating that "the Ministry of Foreign Affairs granted diplomatic passports to political figures in exchange for turning a blind eye to their violations in the management mechanism of the relevant ministry."
He pointed out that "the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is responsible for the legal violations in the mechanism for granting diplomatic passports, and the concerned authorities must open a file on the violations of this ministry and refer those involved to the judiciary."
In a related context, the leader of the State of Law Coalition, Sheikh Haider Al-Lami, explained to /Al-Maalouma/ that “the issue of the existence of parties linked to the Baath Party is a very dangerous matter and must not pass unnoticed,” indicating that “Baathist infiltration is present in most ministries and government institutions.”
He added that "the Baathists have bequeathed their positions in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to their sons in order to continue their presence in the ministry," noting that "the ministry must implement the procedures of the Accountability and Justice Law against the names included in the law."
He added: "A serious stance must be taken to confront these dangerous plans, and everyone must take their role in taking the necessary action against these criminals." End 25N
