    Economy News - Baghdad
[rtl]The Housing Department in Anbar Governorate, one of the formations of the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Public Municipalities, announced the details of the Hit residential complex and the target groups of those residential units, confirming that "the percentage of completion in the project has exceeded 50%."[/rtl]
[rtl]The Director General of the Housing Department, Sadiq Muhammad Al-Fartousi, said in a statement to the official media, followed by "Al-Eqtisad News", that "the new Hit residential complex is the third complex currently being completed in Anbar, and it is dedicated to serving the middle and poor classes and the families of martyrs," indicating that "the current project comes after the completion of a similar project last year, which included 500 housing units."[/rtl]
[rtl]He pointed out that "the housing units will be free for the martyrs' families, while discounts reach 75% for the rest of the targeted groups, with a repayment period of 35 years."[/rtl]
[rtl]He added: “We are currently working on implementing two new projects, the first in the Jbeil area, which includes 630 housing units, while the second project is the Hit complex, which includes more than 400 housing units within a contract that includes 54 buildings, in addition to 12 service buildings that include primary, secondary and intermediate schools, a kindergarten and a mosque, in addition to markets, filtration stations, streets and green spaces.”[/rtl]
[rtl]Al-Fartousi explained: “We started work on the Hit complex in November of last year 2023, and the completion is progressing faster than planned, as 49% of the project has been completed, and we are approaching 52%,” noting that “work is continuing according to the specified specifications, and it is expected to be completed within the specified time frame at the beginning of 2026.”[/rtl]
[rtl]He pointed out that "the Housing Department, as the body responsible for drawing up housing policy in Iraq, has begun cooperating with the Ministry of Construction and Housing in planning and implementing projects to address the housing crisis," noting that "there is a large housing deficit in Iraq that exceeds 50% of the needs of Iraqi families in 15 governorates, so the state has moved to establish housing units to fill the deficit and announce them for investment."[/rtl]
[rtl]He stressed that "the investment residential complexes are distributed among 15 governorates, and they aim to bridge the gap in the housing sector," indicating that "the housing department's projects serve specific categories, including the families of martyrs from the defense and interior forces and victims of terrorism, in addition to the martyrs' institutions. The category of martyrs of the Popular Mobilization Forces has also been added, in addition to employees from outside the governorate, widows, displaced persons, and people with disabilities."[/rtl]
[rtl]He pointed out that "the government provides significant support to the aforementioned categories, as housing units are provided to the families of martyrs free of charge, while discounts of up to 75% are provided to the rest of the categories," noting that "the loan repayment period is up to 35 years, and these facilities represent comprehensive government support that contributes to solving the housing crisis in Iraq."[/rtl]
