    [ltr]Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Member of the parliament Security & Defense Committee, Hakim al-Zamili, called the parliament to monitor the arms deals the Iraqi government concludes.[/ltr]
    [ltr]The General Commander of the Armed Forces, Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki had stressed during his last visit to Moscow that there are no obstacles hinder the implementation of the arms deal Iraq concluded with Russia in 2012.[/ltr]
    [ltr]Zamili told Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “We are with arming the Iraqi army to have strong reliable army, especially the region is witnessing unrest, on condition that these deals contain no corruption.”[/ltr]
    [ltr]“The politicians should be away from the arms deals to ensure fair deals,” he added.[/ltr]

    Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Member of the Security and Defense Parliamentary Committee, Hakim al-Zamili, stressed the importance of supervising the arms deals by the Parliament.
    Zamili stated to IraqiNews.com “We support arming the Iraqi Army to be strong and ready to face terrorism due to the deteriorated regional situation, but this strength should be away from corruption.”
    “The politicians should be kept away from these deals to be transparent and supervised by the Parliament,” he added.
