Oil: Gas pipeline project from Basra to El Arish in its final stages

The Ministry of Oil confirmed that the project to extend a gas pipeline from Iraq and then to Aqaba in Jordan and then to the Egyptian city of El Arish, in its final stages.
"The pipeline will be extended from Jordan to the city of El Arish in Egypt," said Assem Jihad, spokesman for the ministry.
He explained that "the first phase of the pipeline extends from Basra to Najaf, and starts the line of investment from Najaf to Aqaba," explaining that "a consortium of companies, extending the pipeline from Najaf to Aqaba, and the company is building the pipeline and get its money later, In the pipeline through the process of deducting the financial part agreed upon by the company. "
