    Sunday, July 23,

The second Israeli channel, Sunday, that the police will remove the electronic gates from the perimeter of Al-Aqsa Mosque , and will resort to manual inspection against the backdrop of the great security tension in Jerusalem and the West Bank .

"After the great security situation in Jerusalem and the West Bank, because of the electronic gates, the police are moving from night to remove the electronic gates and put police forces at the gates of Al-Aqsa Mosque to carry out manual searches through the use of metal hoes," the channel said without revealing its sources.

The channel pointed out that Israeli police chief in Jerusalem Yoram Hilvey and Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barakat support this solution.

In the same vein, Channel 2 reported that the Israeli cabinet will meet on Sunday to discuss security developments in Jerusalem.

In the meantime, the Palestinians continue for the seventh day in a row, refusing to enter the Al-Aqsa Mosque through the electronic gates, set by police at the entrances of the mosque last Sunday.

Hundreds of Palestinians in daylight hours and thousands in the evening gather in the Bab al-Asbat area to perform prayers and express their refusal to enter the Al-Aqsa Mosque through these gates.

Jerusalem and all other major Palestinian cities witnessed yesterday angry demonstrations in support of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, in which clashes broke out with Israeli forces, killing three Palestinians and injuring hundreds.

At the time of the Israeli forces launched a large-scale arrest campaign throughout the West Bank at the dawn of the day, the leaders of Hamas and the families of editors and a number of young people.

The arrests included Hamas leaders and cadres, including the deputy in the Legislative Council, Dr. Omar Abdel Razeq, in addition to Mahmoud Mustafa Mardawi.

Eyewitnesses said that the Israeli forces carried out a search and arrest operation in the village of Kupper in Ramallah, the birthplace of Helmish operation, including the house of the executor of the operation, pointing out that the arrests also took place in Hebron, Nablus and Tubas.

On the other hand, the Israeli army reopened the roads, especially in the vicinity of the city of Nablus, after closing last night main hubs and roads in the northern West Bank, on the pretext of the presence of angry settlers on those roads.
