He pointed out that the Directorate was able to convert more than 172 civil status departments to work on the electronic system to issue the unified card, and gave about five million national cards unified to citizens throughout the country , Praising the unlimited support that the project receives from the ministry and its departments and departments to make it successful. Al-Khafaji said that the Directorate succeeded in transforming the work system in all civil status departments of the provinces of Muthanna, Babylon, Karbala and Najaf to the electronic system to issue the unified card for registered citizens in its departments. He pointed out that the next few days will witness the closure and conversion of the last three departments in Baghdad province, Wasit province to work the system of issuing the national card, bringing the number of provinces operating the new electronic system to six provinces. Al-Khafaji stressed that the Directorate, in cooperation and coordination with the Commission on Human Rights, set up mobile teams for the purpose of issuing national cards to the elderly, orphanages and social care homes, especially people with special needs and disabled people, in order to provide services to this important group.
